In 1992 I was lucky enough to be asked to write the film for Manchester bid for the Commonwealth Games.
I was told the film made a big impression by the bid team.
It was a very proud moment for my when my home city was awarded the Commonwealth Games.
Perhaps more than anything this helped the regeneration of Manchester into the destination city it is today.
